It is no exaggeration to say that Terry (the owner of S. Calera Towing) saved our vacation. We were travelling to the beach from Knoxville TN and were involved in an accident on the interstate near the Calera Exit. We took significant damage to the rear of our car including to the exhaust system. We mistakenly thought that our insurance (we have a prominent and supposedly highly rated carrier) could help us but after 2 hours on the phone with them we realized that they were no help. At this point we are 5 hours away from home and wondering if we would even make it to the beach. We weren't sure if the car was safe to drive or if we needed a rental (the closest rentals were an hour away at the Birmingham Airport). I called South Calera Towing and they arrived within 3 minutes! Terry inspected our damage and made a few quick fixes to the exhaust system so that we could safely drive the car. Terry and his wife were just incredibly nice and professional. He even refused a tip when I offered it to him!! I cannot recommend Terry and South Calera Towing enough!! We ended up having a great vacation and my 9 year son said be sure and say "THANK YOU TERRY!!!!"

Terry and Lisa were wonderful and made us feel so welcomed. They are hands down the pinnacle example of southern hospitality. My family and I were driving our way down to Panama City Beach from Michigan on 04/22/2024. We got into a very bad fender bender, thank God everyone was fine and we were a bit shaken up about the experience. After having to deal with reporting to the sheriff's department as well as the insurance company, Terry swung by with his tow truck. First of all he wanted to ensure everyone was ok and safe. Second he allowed us to explain the problem to him and took the time to listen. Third he provided us with a solution to where the vehicle might be going, he saw how distressed we were and offered to take us to a car rental place. Mind you not every car rental place might have what you need, but with that in mind he rerouted to another rental place of our choice and with the guarantee of taking us as far as we needed to go to find the right vehicle. After taking us to the rental place, Terry and Lisa waited on us until we were done with paperwork just in case. He offered to lower our vehicle off the tow truck in order for us to grab all that we owned in it outside of our luggage for the the trip. The whole process from the accident up to the point of hopping back onto the road to drive to Florida took no more than an hour and a half. We are so blessed to have walked away from our accident and complete our journey to Florida, and how smooth the process went from the sheriff that helped us, my insurance company, and most of all Terry and Lisa who helped us the rest of the way. If I could give them more stars, I would. Thank so very much for being who you are and God bless.

We had a terrible accident on I-65 around Calera. 4 cars involved - 3 were totaled. Everyone was traumatized and in shock. Our granddaughter was with us. Our Bluelink service called law enforcement as well as roadside service. Terry and Lisa from South Calera Towing came immediately. They were very calming and efficient. Helped us gather all of our belongs and then gave us a ride to their office so a family member could pick us up. They walked us through the process of contacting our insurance company and made sure we had everything out of the car before we left. Such nice people. Just what you need in that situation. Terry and Ms. Lisa happily came out on Christmas night and unlocked keys from inside our trunk. We were 3 states away, roughly 900 miles, from home and ready to head back when they were accidentally locked in the trunk. Their quick response and gracious demeanor put us all at ease. I recently had a wreck on 65 north with my 4 children. It was an experience I never want to repeat, but the day was made much better by Lisa and her team at South Calera Towing. They were swift, thorough, and incredibly kind people in the midst of a stressful, messy situation. After I had gathered my belongings from my wrecked vehicle, I arrived home over an hour away and realized I had accidentally left an item in the car. Lisa mailed it to me! She is such a sweet, kind, caring person. South Calera Towing is not only extremely competent and professional, but genuinely kind people. I am very grateful and feel blessed by this company during a terrible event in my life.

I cannot say enough great things about South Calera Towing! They truly went above and beyond for us—even after normal business hours. When we were stressed and unsure what to do, they showed up promptly and handled everything with such professionalism and care.

Terry and Lisa are the epitome of southern hospitality. I locked my keys in my truck and called South Calera Towing. Lisa apologized that it would be about 40 minutes before they could get to me. I had a pickup truck with two flat front tires and the motor would not start. Unfortunately, my car would not crank as I was preparing to go shopping. Within 15 minutes, Terry Sims of Calera Towing came to the rescue. I was able to go to Publix, but when I tried to leave my car battery would not start the cat. I called Calera Towing and agaim Terry jumped off my car at no charge.

Recently had my car stolen at work. Luckily it was located n found n this towing company got my car. It was a terrible headache due to the different counties n law enforcement involved. However, the best part n yes u read that correctly. Was meeting the workers of this company. They went above n beyond to help me. Understanding n considerate. Keep me in touch every step of the way. Help me get to the right person to have my car released. N also helped me figure out why it wasn’t starting. To some that may not be a lot. But to a woman in her 40’s n had all this going on,I was overwhelmed. But every time I seemed to speak with them they always made me feel better. N that is a lot in my book! While traveling on our annual family vacation, we were involved in a serious accident when our vehicle was struck from behind, causing us to spin into the guardrails and resulting in a total loss of our car. Great service the owners answered the phone and told me 35 minutes and they were there in 20 very fast friendly service very reasonable price. 2 other companies I tried took 15 mins for a technician to call back and then I was told it would be over an hour to get to me.

I got into a car crash yesterday on the 4th of January where I was rear ended and they helped me tow my car, they were extremely nice and let me get my belongings out the car once they towed the car to a safer area. Once I got home I even forgot my friends keys in the car and called them and asked for help the very nice lady helped me find my keys and even brought them to the cvs for me on her own time. She then helped me get the rest of my items out the car the next day. Very great business and people. My rental vehicle broke down on the final leg of a round trip drive from Mobile Alabama to Rockport Massachusetts. South Calera Towing was called to assist, and they ended up being some of the kindest people I have ever had the privilege of meeting. They helped me coordinate getting my vehicle to their yard, having access to it when I returned two hours later from getting a replacement rental, and getting back on the road much more quickly than would have otherwise been possible. I highly recommend this business for any towing services you find yourself in need of. You will not be disappointed!

When I called Lisa for a quote to tow my daughter's car to Birmingham, I was not expecting the exceptional service that followed. She promised to call me back with a price, and she did so within 3 minutes. She explained that they were busy but could do it. While on the phone, she told me she would text the mechanic's local. Not only did she do that, but she and her husband also went to my daughter's home, jumped the car, and got it running. She refused any payment. Terry and Lisa are the best people in the business. I had a misfortune of an accident and the insurance company took very long to settle. During the time my vehicle was stored at south calera towing. Of course the insurance paid for only 2 weeks and if it wasn't for the generousity and humanity of Terry and Lisa I would have been out thousands of dollars. Terry was a lifesaver! Had one major event in the morning turn into another. Immediately as I called they were working out where I was and what issue I was having. They proceeded to show up within less than 20 minutes from the phone call to help pull the truck out of a ditch we didn't see. It was definitely a tight space but Terry and his team were able to get us out and on our way in no time. Highly recommend if you have any car troubles and need a tow!

Absolutely the best towing service around.I was stranded on the interstate freezing didn’t know what to do and the officer called south Calera and they were there within 30 minutes. They are the most caring people and make you feel like somebody and not just another customer. Got me warm and took me home. Very professional. I was in a major wreck and was not from Alabama. They picked me up and took me to my car to retrieve my phone and suitcase. I was stuck with no ride and they gave me a ride to a local hotel and made sure I was able to get a room. Very generous of their time and services. Thank you!!

I turned my tractor over. I went up to Terry & Lisa's shop/House and they came right out to the house, and in just about 30 minutes had tractor back up on wheels. We have used them a couple of times, and they are Johnny on the spot, and reasonable on the price!

Work truck broke down on the side of the interstate. I did not know my location but South Calera Towing was out to my location in no time to help me out. Even gave me a ride! 10/10 service and 10/10 customer service. Highly recommend for towing.

Very professional, I locked my keys in my truck they came out after 7pm within 15 minutes of calling them and got my truck opened in less then 5 minutes. I will call them first if ever I need them again.

This business is so fast, and they genuinely care about their customers. I locked myself out of my car at the grocery store today, and not only did they give me the best price to unlock my car but they gave me excellent customer service as well. Terry and Lisa showed up no later then 5 minutes and we were able to get in our vehicle and get our dog. Very professional. This couple is by far one of the best in the business. Not only did they take care of us and our 3 year old child they went out of their way to make sure we not only got our rental but that we got on the road and heading home before leaving us. Answered the phone immediately! I had never used one and she walked me through the whole process and told me to check with my insurance company first to see if they would reimburse me or if I would need to find another company! They got to me in 20 minutes and sat with me and my kiddos until my husband could pick us up!

After a serious multi vehicle accident on I65 (thankfully with no injuries), we were picked up and towed to South Calera Towing, where Terry and Lisa treated us like royalty. They allowed us to stay in their wonderfully air conditioned office until we could be picked up by family (from Tupelo, MS... 3 hours away). They brought us cold drinks and told us to just relax and stay as long as necessary. My wife tells everyone about Our Two Angels..... the professionalism and care by these folk showed us that they aren’t just a business. They truly exhibit God’s love and compassion...no matter who they meet and serve. THANK YOU!

South Calera towing was very friendly with us. The have done several small tows for us in the past. This time it was a little more complicated due to a wreck.they took care of the truck even though it is totaled and have met me at the yard to get belongings out twice now without any fuss. They even made sure my grandfather was ok after his wreck and got to meet him today as we made our final trip to get the tag off and so my grandfather could see just how bad the wreck was and how lucky he is to be here.
We had a pleasant conversation with them on a personal and professional level.

Terry and Lisa came to tow my car that wouldn’t start and Terry took a look at it and got it to start for me to be able to drive it to the shop instead of getting it towed. They didn’t charge us anything and they were the sweetest and most helpful people! I would recommend them to anyone!
